Dereliction

I have gained a fascination for derelict buildings. By derelict, I mean property which has been abandoned, for reasons such as obsolescence or lack of funds for maintenance, to return to nature. Although there is a strong argument in favour of these being portrayed in gritty mono, I feel it would be a shame to lose the colours which are often apparent, colours not only from the original paintwork, but from the results of decay, such as red rust. I do not like to portray dereliction through vandalism. I have deliberately with-held details of the properties photographed to preserve their remaining integrity.
