Panoramas
Panoramas are one of my favourite photographic practices. They fall more naturally to the eye's view of things than any other format, and so to me represent photography at its trueist.

All my panoramas have been created by the electronic fusion of two or more images.

Some have asked why I don't use a dedicated panoramic camera. There are at least three reasons why not - cost of equipment, film and processing; format, the way I do it, I have full control of the aspect ratio of my photos (although I tend towards the 3:1 ratio); and finally fun because I simply like doing it this way.

Panoramic shots, due to their shape and size, look much better when viewed as an enlargement.

View from Dunadd

The view from the ancient hill fort of Dunadd. Dunadd is the ancient home of the Scottish Kings. Little remains now of the fort, except a few stones and rock markings, but it is an impressive mound rising over the Crinan Moss and the River Add. It can be accessed off the A816, about 4 miles north of Lochgilphead.
