Panoramas
Panoramas are one of my favourite photographic practices. They fall more naturally to the eye's view of things than any other format, and so to me represent photography at its trueist.

All my panoramas have been created by the electronic fusion of two or more images.

Some have asked why I don't use a dedicated panoramic camera. There are at least three reasons why not - cost of equipment, film and processing; format, the way I do it, I have full control of the aspect ratio of my photos (although I tend towards the 3:1 ratio); and finally fun because I simply like doing it this way.

Panoramic shots, due to their shape and size, look much better when viewed as an enlargement.

Glen Etive

Glen Etive stretches from Loch Linnhe, near Oban, right the way through to the top end of Glencoe, and can be walked almost all of its length by the fit and ambitious. This photo was taken almost out of desperation - after setting off in early morning mist I was desparing of it ever lifting. This is the best it got. I'll be back!
